Two hours after leaving Boracay on our way to Iloilo City, we stopped-over and had a quick tour of the Sampaguita Gardens Resort in New Washington, Municipality of Kalibo in Aklan Province.
Two hours after leaving Boracay on our way to Iloilo City, we stopped-over and had a quick tour of the Sampaguita Gardens Resort in New Washington, Municipality of Kalibo in Aklan Province.
The Gardens is a
resort, an amusement park, and has a museum and a convention center. It has circus
rides, spa, swimming pool, Jojo’s Christmas Cottage which sells Precious Moments
collectibles and a Precious Moments museum.
There’s also the Samuel J. Butcher’s Mansion which houses antiques and
oriental treasures.
As a traveler,
this place is worth a sidetrip to/from Boracay Island. It’s like hitting two tourist destinations in
one trip.
Guests and visitors
can make most out of their stay by tasting the best menus from a wide array of
choices. The Asian and European architectural designs inside the resort creates
an atmosphere that is not only perfect for vacationers and newly weds but also
for children who will surely feast their eyes on rich colors while strolling
around a safe and clean environment.
